Thank God I'm An Obama Voter!

Well, life on the hammock is kinda laid back
Ain't much an old city boy like me can hack
It's late to rise, early in the sack
Thank God I'm an Obama Voter.

Well this simple kinda life never did me no harm
Letting other families a-working on a farm
My days are all filled with an easy country yawn
Thank God I'm an Obama voter.

Well I got me a wife who just does very little
When the sun's coming up I get eggs with McGriddle
Readin' ain't nothin but a funny funny riddle
Thank God I'm an Obama voter.

With the stimulus all done and my reading so slow
I pull out my news and they tell me how to go
The media's asleep so they keep it kinda low
Thank God I'm an Obama Voter.

I'd play Obama speeches all day if I could
And the Lord and The Dems says that would be very good
So I listen when I can, never think when I should
Thank God I'm an Obama Voter.

Well, I would trade my life for more diamonds and jewels
I never was one of them capitalist tools
I'd rather have my free checks, now that would be kewl!
Thank God I'm an Obama Voter.

Well I got me a wife who just does very little
When the sun's coming up I get eggs with McGriddle
Readin' ain't nothin but a funny funny riddle
Thank God I'm an Obama voter, yeah!

Dale, you know I love you. I just dont quite understand you. If politics makes you this angry and bitter, it just seems you would want a new hobby.

I believe totally that politician are liars. It doesnt matter what team they play for. But I always hope that the person in office is going to do something for our nation.

1. You seem to be hoping Obama screws us over. Like you would just love for America to go down in flames so you could say "I told you so". I find that disturbing.

2. You act like those overzealous sports fans who would kill people to show their loyalty to the team.

3. Stop acting like that blowhard, Rush. If you can do so much better, run for office. But stop standing on the sideline and pointing fingers.

I know you are interested in politics and I can understand discussing differences of opinion or ideology but I guess I dont understand what this post even means except that its another chance to say something negative.

Line by line item veto..
I'm not angery or bitter. I thought it was a good parody. I like John Denver, don't you like John Denver? ~sniffle~ Besides, you want angery or bitter, I invite you to my Log Cabin Republicans booth on gay pride day! You'll get a earful of angery and bitter - Democrats!

I'm not hoping Obama's going to screw us over. I know he's going to screw us over. Whether it's intentional or not is my last remaining question.

Nobody is hoping Obama fails, but if I wanted to bring down the economy and have the government dictate to business and individuals, including yourself, then I would do what he is doing. The "you seem to be hoping Obama screws us over" means you been listening to the news media tell you what I and his detractors think - AND THAT IS NOT WHERE THE TRUTH LIES.

What we are witnessing is a power grab to make people be more dependent on government and therefore more dependent on their "Daddy", the Democrat party. And Obama's detractors have REAL concerns about socialism and downright government takeover of our lives. These things do not bother the uninformed - until it's too late.

WHAT SOME PEOPLE ARE CONCERNED ABOUT:
A HEALTH CARE TAKEOVER
Up to $2 trillion for a bank bailout.
Who's going to buy all these T-bills to finance this debt?

And BTW - If all politicians are liars, then why am I suppose to believe in Obama 100% all the sudden? We don't have any opposition to anything in our country all the sudden? Hmmm....

Re: Line by line item veto..
I dont listen to the news so they havent told me what to think. One thing I have learned is that no matter how many people yell that our country is going to be ruined by one president or another, the country continues.

I dont want a 'daddy' government and I dont want nationalized healthcare but I also dont want our country run by conservative Christians either.

You always sound angry when you talk about politics. In fact, you sound like you should sound like a yelling Rush Limbaugh who tells everyone they are stupid and how smart he is.

I considered myself a republican for years before realizing that the republicans hate me, they are embarrassed of me. The republican party has changed from what I once saw it to be.

Instead of talking bad about Obama, I am going to wait and see. I am being hopeful. I will respect him as a leader and hope he makes us proud.

What I wont do, it pick apart every news story and fear tactic from both parties. Its the same reason I dont listen to the news. I have enough to worry about at home without then making up new ones.

I know you thought Bush was awesome, but I didnt agree with him and to be truthful McCain frightened me. Obama, well, he was the other choice so there you have my political views.

Re: Line by line item veto..
You must be pulling my leg by saying I'm angry because I disagree with somebody. I reserve the right to disagree with anybody and everybody, as long as we have a 1st amendment, which might be gone any day with Obama in office.

Your stereotype Christian Republicans may want to take away your "rights", but the day will come where you'll have to ask yourself how many rights you willing to forgo to give Obama a "chance".

Re: Line by line item veto..
you just sound angry. Maybe I am reading it with the wrong inflection since its online but you just seem too overwrought. It worries me because you shouldnt let anything get you that upset, really.

I dont think I have lost any rights yet. When I do, I will let you know.

Hopefully you can point those targeted lost rights before they are lost, and not after. I know I will.

Re: Line by line item veto..
Wait a minute. You seem un-curious as to what is in the "economic stimulus package". Wouldn't an Obama (for lack of a better word) supporter want to know what is in the legislation about to signed by Obama?

The "uncuriousity" of Obama supporters about current events seems very strange and unnatural to me. I just find it strange.

That's all.

Re: Line by line item veto..
I am supportive of Obama simply because he is the president, not because hes got some golden ticket to solving everything.

Bush signed several stimulus packages in the last year and there was lots of stuff that was ridiculous in them. Asking about that shit is like asking for something to get angry over. :)
