The US House on Tuesday rejected a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, 236-187, only 47 short of the two-thirds majority needed to advance a constitutional amendment.

(CNSNews.com) - Three DEMOCRAT congressmen are being recognized with the "Defender of Marriage" award for their support of a constitutional marriage amendment. The Alliance for Marriage, which drafted the Marriage Protection Amendment (MPA) before Congress, honored Reps. Sanford Bishop, Jr. of Georgia, Lincoln Davis of Tennessee, and Mike McIntyre of North Carolina for their support of traditional marriage.

Just goes to show that sometimes, there's just not much difference between a Demublican and a Republicrat.

There use to be a difference between Reps and Dems, then the Republicans got soft on fiscal policy and immigration. The only thing that divided them was gay issues - but more and more Democrats ever so slowly are jumping on the anti-gay bandwagon.
