I've been thinking about the political process in our state (for reasons I'll state later) and I find it amazing how easy it is for a candidate running for a state representative or state senate to get on the ballot. You think they would have a high threshold, but in Ohio all you need for the primary on a official petition is 50 signatures from registered voters in your party to be eligible. It's not that bad.

Of course, winning the election is a whole another matter.
