Good question.

Why do the self-labeled 'Department of Peace and Non-Violence' activists desire civil war in Iraq? How can they say they are for peace yet pray that a country delves itself deeper into bloodshed?

Apparently these liberal rules of "peace" and "redeployment" do not apply to terrorists and despots. The Left has always exempted terrorism and totalitarianism from rules of conduct.

Yes, I know. I am asking The Left to think two steps ahead of themselves, and yes, I know that's an impossible task for self-absorbed Democrats.

Democrat actions have consequences too, which the Democrats refuse to believe or accept.

  • "Hurray! We're Capitulating!": The prevailing feeling among Muslims is that they are being abused by the West. What should we do about it? We might as well surrender. After all, we're already on our way.

    Capitulating to darkness
Why is the West committing suicide? Has suicide become fashionable because a bunch of medieval monsters are doing it in the middle east?

What the matter with you people? Is it necessary to lose your survival instinct in order to become "politically correct" for your friends? My God! Do you WANT to give these people so much freedom that you will lose yours?

If they don't like Western values, that's understandable. The solution is for them to move back to the middle east which suits their medieval tastes.

Another Question - Is the US presence in Iraq helping or not?
If the US presence is helping to get the violence in Iraq under control, then "Yes", of course we need to stay there and throw as much of our collective might behind that effort as possible to minimize the continued loss of human life. However, if the US presence is fueling the violence both as a target of the insurgency and as a recruiting tool to expand the rolls of extremists willing to die in order to just kill Americans, then we need to get out of the way and allow a third party(ies) to manage the recovery process. An international peace-keeping force, including representation from other Muslim countries, could solve this problem. Of course, the US would still be obligated to help pay for this effort, as well as for the on-going reconstruction.

And "Yes", I do support the idea of establishing a US Department of Peace and Nonviolence. And "No", I do not desire civil war in Iraq and I do not pray for Iraq to "delve itself deeper into bloodshed".

Re: Another Question - Is the US presence in Iraq helping or not?
A-ha! I got you, making my point that the The Left never mentions terrorism in their arguments. Like I said before, the "presence" test that liberals put the USA through they make sure do not apply it to hostile countries, like Iran. Our "peaceniks" will not address the issue of Iran's involvement in the bloodshed, or what we should do about it if Iranians continue to aggravate insurgents and terrorists.

Thanks to the poisoning of the well by liberals we are not going to get any other help from anybody in this matter. I hope the 21,500 reinforcements does help the Iraqi people. This probably will be the last major mission the USA can do in Iraq. Why would liberals and Democrats pray for this mission to fail when there is so much at stake? Liberals cry over the insurgency but have stone cold hearts over a possible civil war? I don't get it.

You can't have peace in the world if you always blame one and only one country, the United States of America, for war. A US Department of Peace and Nonviolence will be totally destructive under this one-eyed philosophy.

And BTW - it should be no coincidence that Democrats want the troops out by May. Why the magical month of May? That's when the full deployment of US reinforcements will be in Iraq, according to Gen. Petraeus. What better way get back at and sabotage a US president.
