I've been here and there and even hung around a few Democrats during the past seven years of the Bush Administration and I've heard and read all types of bitching from Democrats -

But not once did I hear any of them say they wanted the ERA Equal Rights Amendment revived - not once.

The original ERA fell short of the required states; 35 states ratified the amendment, but a few states created controversy by rescinding their ratification of the ERA, with many wondering if a state can do that to a proposed constitutional amendment. I believe Ohio may have been one of those states, but don't quote me.

Anywho, this is mostly to get the female vote in 2008, and nothing else. Democrats went into the past to remedy a problem that does not exist on the same level as it did 25 years ago. Democrats do not believe in the drive or resilience of the individual - gays or blacks or women - so they come up with victimhood pandering like this WEA.

I hope Ohio votes this down right away if Congress approves this. If not, it would be nice to have frontline female combatants in future Democrat military conflicts.
