Liberal activists are stepping up their campaign against Fox News Channel by pressuring advertisers not to patronize the network.

MorOns.org, the Campaign for America's Communist Future and liberal blogs like DailyKos.com are asking thousands of supporters to monitor who is advertising on the network. Once a database is gathered, an organized phone-calling campaign will begin, said Jim Gilliam, vice president of media strategy for Brave New Films, a company that has made anti-Fox videos.

The groups have successfully pressured Democratic presidential candidates not to appear at any debate sponsored by FOX, and are also trying to get Home Depot Inc. to stop advertising there.

Fox 11's recent story about hackers called anonymous has given Fox a bad image.
Apparently a story about b-tards from image boards and when you know that and do some research and find out the real story is some idiot actually tried to get the b-tards to do this to someone he didn't like and they didn't appreciate it and went after him instead his parents freaked out and now they are just messing with there heads.
It's a bit much but the critical point is this kid wanted this to happen to someone else.
Fox 11 tacked on some unrelated details and other elements of the story seem fake.
A hacker group the FBI won't go after? My first impression. Something is wrong with this news story. The FBI could tell this wasn't valid.

So now all of Fox is ready to take the blame for a story done on one Fox affiliate.
Smelling blood MoveOn takes action and starts drumming up a protest.

Fox could have been remembered for a poorly reported news story or it can be remembered as the news political action groups tried to censor.
What image would serve Fox better?
